Clayton Rotary Park

The idea for Clayton Rotary Park started with Clayton Rotary Club member, Josh Davis. Josh owned a piece of land on Main Street in Clayton. Josh proposed to the Board to start a park using his land, which he would lease to the club for $1.00 a year. A plan was approved and we held a wonderful groundbreaking party on October 5, 2019.
We ran into some obstacles with executing the plan as designed. Until we could resolve those obstacles, we still used the land to grow vegetables that we donated to a local food pantry to help with food insecurity in our community. Sadly, we could never resolve the issues and couldn’t realize our plans for the park. Josh sold the property in 2023.
